Teeming with game yet absent of visitors, Zambia is one of the last havens of
unspoiled Africa.
On this extraordinary safari, you'll explore two of its most remote wilderness
sanctuaries. Choked with hippos and crocodiles, the great Luangwa River in South
Luangwa National Park supports herds of elephant, buffalo, kudu, zebra,
wildebeest, and giraffe, and is renowned for excellent leopard sightings. Wedged
between a mountainous escarpment and a mighty river, Lower Zambezi National Park
adds scenic grandeur to superb wildlife watching. Cruises (and optional
canoeing) on the Zambezi among pods of hippos and flocks of water birds lend a
new perspective to game viewing, while drives on the floodplain generate
sightings of the big cats and wild dogs.
Game drives in open vehicles, walking safaris, night drives, and boating safaris
make this an active and fascinating wilderness safari.
